Addressing the Unique Oral Health Challenges of Aging Patients

The Oral Health Collaborative Consortium (OHCC), UCLA School of Dentistry Continuing Dental Education and the Chinese American Dental Society of Southern California invite you to join a webinar on best practices and solutions to address oral health care for elderly populations. As our population continues to age, we must have oral health care that meets the needs of our geriatric population. Older adults are more likely to have comorbidities that increase risk and face additional challenges with limited physical mobility and transportation. Join us to learn more about opportunities to provide oral health treatments for geriatric patients.  

As a result of this Webinar, participants will be able to:  

- Identify common health conditions affecting geriatric oral health patients including diabetes, dementia, cardio-pulmonary disease, and cancer

- Learn dental management and treatment modifications of the geriatric population with common health conditions

- Navigate treatment opportunities for patients in nursing homes and other assisted living situations through alternative care options

   

Participants will receive 2.5 Free CE Credit
